May regulate bicarbonate secretion and salvage in epithelial cells by regulating the transporter SLC4A7 . Can inhibit the chloride channel activity of ANO1 . Plays a role in the chloride and bicarbonate homeostasis during sperm epididymal maturation and capacitation . .
